Large-Cabin Jet Export Tracker

Updated: 5 October 2026 | Data through 30 September 2026 | Source: FAA Releasable Aircraft Database

U.S.-registered large-cabin business jets leave the FAA register for foreign registries every quarter. This tracker counts them from the FAA's public records, by quarter, model family and destination registry.

    Summary

    • 40 large-cabin jets were deregistered from the U.S. register with an export country in Q3 2026, up from 23 in Q3 2025.
    • 109 exports in the first nine months of 2026, against 89 in the same period of 2025 and 103 in 2024.
    • San Marino was the most common destination registry over the last four quarters (30 of 146 exports), ahead of Canada and the Cayman Islands (11 each).

Quarterly counts are small, so single-quarter swings should be read with care. Q3 2025 was the lowest quarter in the period covered.

Full years: 145 exports in 2024 and 126 in 2025.

"New or nearly new" means the aircraft's year of manufacture is the same as, or one year before, the year of deregistration. Many of these are new aircraft leaving the U.S. at delivery, not resales. "Pre-owned" means two or more years old at deregistration.

    Method and limits

    • Source: FAA Releasable Aircraft Database, deregistered aircraft file (DEREG) with the aircraft reference file, received 5 October 2026. The latest cancellation date in the file is 2 October 2026; counts cover cancellation dates from 1 January 2024 to 30 September 2026.
    • What counts as an export: a deregistered aircraft record that has an export country recorded. Each aircraft is counted once (by serial number within its model family), using its latest deregistration.
    • Models covered: the large-cabin Gulfstream, Bombardier Global and Challenger 600-series, and Dassault Falcon 900, 2000, 7X and 6X models listed above. The grouping is our judgement. The FAA's model codes sometimes combine variants (for example, the Challenger 600-series code covers several variants), so we report by family, not by exact variant. Gulfstream G280 and G200 / G150, Challenger 300 / 350 / 3500, Embraer and converted airliners are not included.
    • What this is not: a count of sales. A deregistration with an export country shows an aircraft left the U.S. register for another country's. It does not show a sale, a price or a buyer, and a jet can change registry without changing owner. Imports onto the U.S. register are not measured here.
    • Data gaps: some records have no year of manufacture; these are shown separately. The most recent weeks of FAA data may be updated after we download them.
    • Privacy: only aggregate counts are published. No owner information is included.
